Honors College

Honors College
The Oakland University Honors College is for academically-minded students who wish to belong to a energetic, friendly, and supportive environment where they can strive for great achievements. Students of the Honors College have the option of satisfying their General Education requirements through Honors College courses that are proposed by expert faculty every year. 
The Honors College also focuses on global connections through studying abroad, global e-links, and their visiting speakers program. 
Admission Criteria:
Incoming Freshmen
A GPA of at least 3.5 and score of 25 on the ACT are required in addition to a personal interview. 
Note: Students who score a 23 or 24 on the ACT may still be accepted if they have a higher GPA (3.65) just as students with a GPA of 3.3 or 3.4 may still be accepted is they have a high ACT score (26). 
Transfer Students
A GPA of at least 3.5 and an on-site interview are required.
